Lakeshore Talent is looking for a Field Service Technician for an Engineering client of ours. This is a direct hire role with the client. This role does require travel up to 75% of time within the State of Colorado, 25% reporting onsite in office in Colorado Springs.
Compensation for this position is $25-$30 per hour.
The Field Service technician will represent the company in a highly professional, consultative and customer-centric way. A career minded, self-starting individual that has the ability to represent to a degree our Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering departments, in addition to having excellent electronic troubleshooting skills. While also demonstrating the ability to rise to a supervisory/managerial level. Primarily, this person will provide customer support, field testing and repair of electronic dynamic message signs and traffic control systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Travel to customer sites to perform onsite installation, testing and troubleshooting of dynamic message sign systems located on interstates and local roads.
-Coordinate, manage and complete assigned project work orders in a timely manner.
-Write routine trip reports, test result reports, and correspondence.
-Communicate frequently and effectively with both internal and external customers.
-Facilitate on-site or remote training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Team oriented, able to work well with coworkers.
-Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
-Minimum of one year experience in basic electronics; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Experience in the use of multi meters measuring AC and DC voltage.
-Able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
-Proficient with MS Office.
-Basic IP network troubleshooting experience.
-Basic Linux/Unix command line experience is a plus.
-Availability to travel up to 75% to customer sites; able to travel on short notice.
-Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to perform in cold, noisy, stressful environments.
-Able to work from a bucket truck at heights up to 75 feet.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license.
