Provides AV technical support for approximately 200 smart classrooms and learning spaces; performs lifecycles replacements of AV technology in these rooms as well as ongoing annual preventive maintenance and repairs; serves as Crestron technical expert for the campus.
Some college/Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience plus a minimum of three years of related experience, to include experience in AV equipment installation and mounting; AV, network and control system cabling installation, termination, testing, cable routing and dressing; experience installing major AV industry products such as Crestron, Extron, AMX and loading different media code and firmware (i.e. Biamp, Ashly, Crestron); ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and line drawings; motivated team player with a strong work ethic; ability to work without direct supervision; strong networking and computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to think critically and solve problems; good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion; excellent organizational and customer service skills; ability to operate standard office equipment and small hand tools. Physical requirements include moderate physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and carrying loads up and down stairs; exposure to noisy or dusty conditions, mechanical, electrical, and other hazards. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado College’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.
