Ask around to all the guys who know (the tour and rental outfits) and they'll generally tell you that the most easy to use, reliable, capable and affordable machines in the ATV world right now are the Can-Am Outlander series...and that's why many of them have migrated away from Polaris to Can-Am machines over the past few years. The Outlander 450 is a great machine because it has a powerful fuel injected and liquid cooled single cylinder engine (38hp), a simple CVT transmission w/ P-R-N-L-H gears, 2 and 4 WD modes w/ an automatic visco-lock front locking differential, 4 wheel independent suspension and factory steel racks. Having a lighter single cyl engine and it's lower mounting in the chassis makes this feel lighter on the trail than the bigger v-twin models without sacrificing the grunt to convey to carry/haul a load too. This machine is comfy in the saddle and rides plush with plenty of ground clearance and suspension travel. It has a small rear storage compartment and standard hitch built into the frame, ball included. This former tour guide machine has added rear view mirrors, and also just had a new set of front tires put on after the pics were taken, it is serviced up and ready to ride for just $4,495.00!
