My husband and I are in desperate need of a small room to rent with our little Ole man KC. My husband is 51 and no longer able to work and fighting for disability almost 3 years now. He has some serious underlying medical issues that prohibit him from any type of employment, however he is a full time student at AIU, all online. My name is Katherine, Im 41 years old and I have 2 job cleaning airbnb with two different management company's. Both company's pay weekly, with one company I get paid Thursday normal which is early but pay days are Fridays. Most of the time I get paid early. The second company I clean with I submit my weekly invoices on Sundays and after approval I get paid 7 to 10 business days later. Right now we are living barely off what I make paycheck to paycheck. I sadly don't make enough to afford a place on our own. I can pay 100 a week without fail and can exchange or trade my cleaning and caregiver services. Unfortunately we were displaced about 4 weeks ago on false terms have started a civil case against the individual whom displaced us. It's a lengthy process, but with that being said my husband and I have gone to every agency in town and the shelters for some kind of help. I've tried to apply for rental assistant and section 8, hud, public housing, income restricted or low income places and have reached out to all the major churches that could help. There is absolutely nothing! Sec8 and Hud have stated on their website that they will not be opening their wait list in July for applications because their funding has been cut back more than half. I've exhausted every avenue I was directed to because there is no help available. We have one more night (tonight) in our room and check out before I work tomorrow. After work, we have no where to go, its been getting extremely hot outside and you are not allowed to hang out in your vehicle without a cop harassing you and making you move. My husband is on oxygen 24/7 and a diabetic. Im doing the best I can with what little I have. We have our own vehicle, one small car, and the bags we have with us. Everything else is in storage locked up. We are kinda 420 friendly but thats on a rare occasion, no drugs, no alcohol. We do smoke cigarettes but always outside away from the dwelling. My husband gets a small amount of benefits for food monthly so we can supply our own eats. We are good friendly people and hard working, quite and clean and respectful, unfortunately just in an unfortunate situation that has put us on the streets. If you would be willing to reach out and meet or speak with us and maybe willing to work something out that be temporary with what I can afford and exchange for cleaning and caregiver services we would be most grateful and extremely appreciated. I tend to work everyday depending on the check ins and pick up side gigs as well. My husband and KC go with me everyday. I clean 1 to 3 properties a day depending on what needs to be done. At work by 10 a.m. or earlier and done between 2 and 4 p.m. We don't party, we stay to ourselves and might visit the friend we have every couple of weeks. I don't know what else to do and have shot my nerves with worry and stress with all this. I apologize for the novel posting but I wanted to explain somewhat of our situation. If your in the position to help for 100 a week and exchange for cleaning and caregiver services please let us know. We will have no where to go tomorrow after I get off work.
