Springs Fabrication is searching for a Senior Project Manager who has the ability to manage multiple projects; understanding project manufacturing as a whole and the best method to execute. This qualified individual will be organized, collaborative, proactive and use prudent judgment when setting priorities to make sound decisions under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience managing design-to-build fabrication projects in excess of US$5 million, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to ensure client satisfaction! The Sr. Project Manager will manage a varying range of complex technical projects per the contracted scope of work consisting of codes, specifications and drawings.  Develops, plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or by managing their assigned support personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promotes the company’s capabilities and experience to achieve company goals.
  • Directs, manages and evaluates assigned and/or supporting personnel.
  • Manages customer expectations and leads assigned personal to achieve profitable performance within project and department goals.
  • Establishes and communicates work plans to identify required resources to support the project goals.
  • Reviews awarded purchase orders, quotations/proposals to understand schedule commitments, funding parameters, scope of work and exceptions taken.
  • Prepares, submits and maintains the requisite project documentation prescribed by internal and external quality program requirements.
  • Works with internal supporting resources (production, purchasing, scheduling, quality control and engineering) to facilitate the project requirements.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget while driving cost control measures.
  • Implements project control tools to manage project costs, schedules, changes in scope of work and/or schedule, change orders and billings
  • Prepares and reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepares project status reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project resources to provide technical advice and to resolve issues.
  • Coordinates project activities with government regulatory or other governing agencies.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining assigned employees. Conflict resolution and coaching as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is encouraged.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Possess and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional 
(PgMP) credential is preferred.
