I have 3 slabs which i understand may be called "cookies". They vary in size from 26x13 to 25x22. They are over 50 years old and were treated in 1972 with PEG 1000, which helps prevent warpage and cracking. For the most part, it seems to have worked. All 3 pieces are about 3 3/4" thick, Amazon, Ebay etc all price them at about $60 per square foot, due to the fact that they are basically burl pieces of wood. Piece #1 is 2.3 square feet and costs $50 Piece #2 is 3.8 sq. ft. and is $100. Number 3 is 3.5 sq ft and is priced at $75 obo. All pieces have been leveled out with a router sled, but will require sanding. I also have a few ponderosa pieces which are $20 each and have some interesting smiley face patterns in them. Thnx for looking. Oh, and the first pic shows what kind of grain these slabs are hiding once they get sanded and finished with a pour on finish. Thnx for looking.
