Selling my vintage, bespoke, 3.00 ct tw diamond ring. This one-of-a-kind design is set in 14K white gold and features 33 brilliant cut diamonds. The center stone measures 5mm (0.5 ct), and is flanked by two 4mm (0.25 ct) diamonds. The remaining diamonds are all slightly over 2mm (0.03 ct) each. This ring also has a unique, openwork/cage diamond setting that helps to maximize light penetration through the diamonds and enhance their brilliance and sparkle. The average diamond clarity is SI1-SI2, with no visible inclusions to the naked eye. The average diamond color is G-H, which are near-colorless diamonds. The diamond polish grade is very good, meaning that any polish flaws are very difficult to spot under 10x magnification, further enhancing the brilliance of the diamonds. This ring is relatively low-profile, standing at 7mm tall from the bottom of the band to the top of the tallest diamond.
Because I used this ring as my engagement ring, I also have an optional 0.5 ct tw contour wedding band from Kay Jewelers that I can sell in addition to the main ring. The contour band is set in 10K white gold and features 17 diamonds that gradually increase in size towards the center of the ring.
Both rings are size 7.5, and neither one of them have ever been re-sized. However both bands feature bishop bumps, which allow the rings to fit securely on my size 5.5 finger. These bishop bumps are amazing if you have larger knuckles but small fingers, and they also help keep the rings from twisting/turning on your finger. If you don’t like them or want to go back to the original ring size, a jeweler can easily remove them for you. Additionally, these rings have been well-loved, and as such, they do have some minor scratches on the bands. These scratches can be easily buffed out by a jeweler, or you could have the rings rhodium dipped to make them look brand new again. They have never been exposed to any harsh chemicals, and they have never been worn when showering/swimming/etc. All of the prongs have been regularly inspected and maintained to ensure that there are no problems with the prongs and there are no loose diamonds.
The 3.00 ct tw diamond ring appraised for $8,540 in 2015 (when the cost of gold was at $1,300/oz), so it would likely appraise for even more than that today. A copy of the appraisal will be shown upon request. The contour band was purchased in 2021 for $1,200. I’ve never had that one appraised as my insurance didn’t require an appraisal for it.
***REDUCED*** I am asking $3,000 for everything. You must be willing to pick up at my house, where the interaction can be recorded for safety via my security camera. I also have a diamond tester here to prove the authenticity of the diamonds. Alternatively I would also be willing to meet at a local police station or jewelry store. I will only accept cash. No cash apps or checks (including cashier’s checks). I will include an LED-lit, wooden ring box with the ring upon purchase.
