Able to work alongside other Medical Assistants and Nurses to maintain the flow of the back office and assist patients with their personal care. We are a busy, fast paced dermatology practice accommodating four Providers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in back office flow by rooming patients, collect data pertaining to appointment specifics, taking chief complaint; preparing patient for exam or procedures; assisting Providers with documentation for all patient visits and completing detailed notes in eClinicalWorks (EMR); assisting Providers with tasks and procedures throughout appointment; all bed side procedures including biopsies and treatment of benign and malignant lesions; various excisions and Mohs procedures; reviews post operative instructions with patients; providing education and guidance of patient results and treatment plans; able to assist in the processing of pathology specimens, stocking and organization of exam rooms; able to autoclave, set up procedure trays and perform weekly cleaning of back office in compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
Will require the RMA to do rotational shifts to the Monument office as we have a second office. Current shifts are all day Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's. These shifts are subject to change.
Excellent communication and customer service skills; organizational skills; ability to multi-task; flexibility in work environment; must be able to work as a team; experience with eClinicalWorks or EMR's; cross-training, rotating shifts and positions; anticipates the needs of patients and accommodates accordingly; eager to learn.
Excellent speller and typing skills.
Hours of operations:
7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
7:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday
Minimum ONE YEAR as a full time back office Medical Assistant in dermatology or in a clinical setting.
Dermatology background is recommended but not required.
