Electrolux Pro S105J Carpet Cleaner, Floor Polisher, Pile Lifter

This is a terrific machine. I have owned it for a few years and used it around the house. It is great for doing exactly what it says it will do. Electrolux has made these for a very long time. I own a commercial cleaning company that I am winding down now and have brought in some other smaller machines and don’t have a need for this little guy.

They still currently sell on Amazon as you can see in the screenshots for about $1800. They also sell used on eBay for around $400 but the models that I have seen for sale over there do not have the base tray. That is important to keep the brushes in good condition without getting smashed down.

I treat carpet like I do mowing a lawn. Every couple of weeks I surface clean it with a machine like this and then lift the carpet with a carpet brush or brushes like on this machine to lift the pile back up. I got 25 years out of our carpet here by treating it this way. Maintain it every few weeks and then once a year put the big steam extractor on it.

This comes with the original brushes as well as the pile lifting brushes. The machine cleans up very well after each use and is lightweight. The handles fold down if you prefer and need to get it into a smaller space.

The cord is retractable, (and I am not sure why I did not take a photo of it with the cord retracted! )which is a really neat feature. It has a floating splash guard that surrounds the brushes while it is in use. This stops splatter, etc., from going up on your baseboards and furniture legs, etc. It can be removed if you prefer to use it that way. it has a removable tank that you put the solution in with a clear view window on the side so you can tell how much is left. Once it is plugged in, you push the lever down with your foot and as the handle drops, it will turn on. Just lift the handle back up to turn it off. Very very easy to use.

Check out the pictures and this is also cross posted on the local Craigslist and Facebook marketplace, so if you need additional photos or video, you will find it there.

There is a lot of information about these on the Internet. Parts are widely available and you can find reviews, etc. there. There was also a video over on YouTube with the original shopping network video from the 90s I think that breaks this down pretty well as to how it works.
