Really excellent condition rare Buick. You don't see these much at all anymore, and with the popularity of 80s/90s cars (Radwood era) these are going up in value as people try to find good examples nd just find worn out and beaten up ones.
Hagerty has taken notice, and really, really nice ones have shot up in value to $20k+ and poised to go more. This one is very nice, but could benefit from some TLC. It's been sitting with minimal use for the past 5 or 6 years, which is why it's being sold. It has a cool 80s digital display and touch screen command center – which works great. Tires have very few miles on them. AC has been converted to R134a.
Driving this is like a cross between a sporty coupe and an 80s GM luxury car. It handles well but it's also comfy. The Buick 3800 V6 has a lot of power, and it is a very punchy car – due to it's lighter weight and 2-seater design. I have hosted a cars & coffee for about 4 or 5 years and have never had one show up – so you get a lot of rarity for not much money, plus parts and maintenance on a GM car is great.
What it needs – the passenger window regulator needs replacing. Currently, it will go halfway down and back up. The trunk lock cylinder needs replaced, but the remote release works. Due to sitting more than being driven, on cold startup, the idle is a little low, but should go back to normal with use and maybe a tuneup/injector cleaner. Trunk lid needs new hatch struts.
It has zero rust, hasn't been stored outside, and the interior is very nice, if not perfect. With a few things, this one is easily worth more, and since they are going up, in the mean time, you get to enjoy your investment.
