The PARIS JET was originally designed for the military, with ease of service on engines and airframe a primary design goal. Demonstrations have been made in which both engines were removed and replaced by other engines in the fantastically short time of 50 minutes, using only four mechanics.
It is obvious that a feat of this kind can be accomplished only through careful planning and consideration of service problem in the design of airplane.
In the early 1960's, the Beechcraft Corporation conducted several demonstrations with the PARIS JET in which the airplane was completely disassembled, with all removable parts such as engines, tanks, radio equipment, etc., removed from the airplane, in a period of 20 minutes using only ten mechanics. All of the parts were replaced in a period of only 40 minutes using the same crew. In 15 minutes more, the airplane was subjected to a full course of aerobatics, after having been fueled and taken out on the runway.
