There is a lot of antique pottery (Rookwood, Bauer, Frankhoma, McCoy and more) for sale right now at the Rustic Roost store (an "indoor flea market" with considerable vintage goods) at 2727 Palmer Park Blvd., Colorado Springs, at the corner of North Circle Drive show contact info
), open Sunday 11-5, Monday 9-5 and Tues-Sat 10-6.
The main cabinet for antique pottery is the seven-foot tall, glass-enclosed case directly across from the cash register. Everything is reasonably-priced starting at $5 (there are even a few $3 and $4 pieces). There are many pottery animal figurines (most are $5).
One whole shelf is Bauer (swirl flower pots, vases, bowls and an Alladin Lamp tea pot). Some are marked Bauer, some have the Bauer production number and some are unmarked.
There are quite a few Frankhoma pieces, all marked with the company's name.
For the higher-end collector, there are some VERY inexpensive pieces of Rookwood (compare to ebay).
In addition, there are some highly-collectible "ball pitchers", a few pieces of metalwork (brass and copper), and some very cheap hand-painted tableware.
Most everything in this display case is from the Arts-and-Crafts movement, a historic period in the first half of the last century and now considered extremely-desirable antiques.
Every time a few pieces sell, more new ones are added to the shelves (usually on Friday morning).
Stop by and ask a clerk to open up this display case of goodies!
