Thomas Richman Blackshear II (born November 14, 1955) is an African-American artist, many of whose paintings adorn Evangelical churches. He is also a sculptor and a designer of ornaments, often of African American themes.
Coat of Many Colors is a release by Thomas Blackshear inspired by a biblical scripture coming from the Books of Revelation (Rev. 5:9). In this image, Jesus is adorned with a robe made from fabrics and flags from around the globe. In essence, this magnificent painting shows how Jesus "purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation".
