I'm an acupuncturist from Aotearoa (NZ) visiting family and friends in the USA for the next 5 weeks until I return home 23 Jan 2010.

The vehicle I was driving east broke down yesterday in Burlington, CO, near the Kansas border and I've returned to Colorado Springs while it's being repaired. I hope it'll be ready to go tomorrow or Saturday so I can continue on to New England. If you are headed east Friday the 18th or Saturday the 19th of Dec. along I-70, I'd been keen to ride with you as far as Burlington. If the vehicle still isn't roadworthy by then, I'm needing a ride ASAP to Bloomington, Indiana, to drop off two large boxes of gifts and then on to Boston or Vermont.

My route is as follows. Fort lauderdale to Houston, Houston to Corpus Christi, (possibly going to South Padre Island), Corpus Christi to San Antonio (these two can be flip flopped). From there my next destination is Phoenix. Phoenix I will either head to San Diego or to Vegas. From Vegas I will be heading to Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs to Witchita, Witchita to Tulsa, Tulsa to Nashville, Nashville to Atlanta, Atlanta to Jacksonville, Jacksonville to Orlando, Orlando back here to Ft Lauderdale.

This is merely a vacation for me I don't need the assistance and I am not looking for favors. I am just hitting the road in reason to visit family and friends across the country. I am willing to pay gas, or drive, or both. I am open to the idea of paying someone to drive me,
but I won't pay an unreasonable price.

I am friendly and respectful, and I'm not bringing a lot of stuff. As for the driving...I used to live in Chicago, so I know how to drive. I have never had a ticket, or been at fault in an accident.

I am new to the Springs and don't have a car. I am looking for someone who will drive me to and from the Flex gym off Academy. Basically I really need to find an easier way to the gym. I didn't realize how tough it would be to ride a bike to this location due to weather and traffic. I recently completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and am an NSCA certified Personal Trainer with six years of experience. I am willing to provide free personal training services in exchange for the rides. I would be happy to get you started and write a program for you to follow. I can't watch everything you do but I can keep an eye out and be there for questions.

Alternatively, I will pay for your gym membership or the daily visit fee.

I live in Rockrimmon area and am available Tuesday and Thursday nights after 4, or weekends at any time. Ideally I would like to get a lift once during the week and one or both weekend days, especially when the weather is bad and the roads too icy for my bike.
