There is a particular need for foster parents who would be willing and able to work with teenagers or to provide a home for sibling groups of three or more children. Even if you don’t wish to foster a child 24 hours per day/seven days a week, you could become a respite parent and be able to provide needed respite (short-term, temporary) services for foster families who need a break from their routine or who need to attend trainings.
• Learn about adoption and why this option is necessary in some cases of abuse/neglect.
• Learn how you can help in your community by volunteering/donating or by becoming a foster parent or respite parent.
• Become active in your community by spreading the word about the need for foster parents: for foster and adoptive families who are willing to open their homes
and hearts to children in need.

Become licensed as a foster, foster/adoptive or respite parent and you will be able to:

• Provide healing and hope when you open your home to a child who has been removed from his/her family of origin.
• Provide a child with a nurturing, safe and structured environment in which to live and thrive.
• Assist us in helping a child’s parents maintain an appropriate relationship with their children while they learn better parenting skills, obtain sobriety from drugs
or alcohol, find a home and/or obtain the resources needed to provide a safe home for their children to return to.
• Adopt a child, if the need arises.
