Looking for Collaboration on A Minimalistic Spoken Word Project (Old Colorado City)

I've been writing a great deal of spoken word pieces. I don't like to call them poetry or lyrics because they're unlike either. Anyway, I'm really looking for someone to collaborate with.

I have so many ideas that I feel go no where for some reason. I play guitar, keyboards, bass--as you can hear in my band page--and I sing. Not well. I write traditional songs every once in a while, but I focus mainly on a more minimalist and emotional vibe. Very loose structure, very repetitive, and admittedly I strive for obscurity and esoterica.

I write the words. But I would have no problem stepping down if better words are written or you have a story to tell.

Basically, what I want, is to tell a story, with instrumentation to aid in telling that story. Ala, a song. If you'd like to lend yourself to creating the words, or helping me with the instrumentation (admittedly my weak point) please respond to this.

Female/Male, I don't care. If you have ideas you want to get out there, let me know. I have a million of my own.

I would prefer someone a bit closer to my age 20-25.

And, please, have an open-mind when it comes to music. I send this out to the cyberspaces only because I feel my chance of finding someone on the same creative wavelength is much greater than harassing my friends and trying to open them up to experimental music and lend me their talents.

NO DEATHCORE KIDS. I don't care if you enjoy deathcore, but I will not allow its influence to to affect this band. Death metal. No -core.

So, as the title says, I'm a songwriter just looking for some other folks to bounce ideas off of... A little bit about myself; I'm 24, I've been playing guitar for about 10 years and writing for about 5. I do have some experience playing around town, but both bands I was in just didn't really feel right. I guess what I'm looking for is either another songwriter (within my same age group. Not discriminatory, I just think we'd have more in common...) or a recently formed band that would maybe have room for another writer. I think my songwriting is pretty broad, and I'm not sure I could really classify it. But some of my influences are Ben Harper, Neil Young, White Buffalo, Willi Nelson, Bad Religion, Railroad Earth etc... I guess its mostly pretty rootsy/Americana type stuff, but that doesn't mean yours has to be. As I said, I'm really just looking for some decent, organic collaboration with some other songwriters. Anyways, if it sound like somethin you'd be into, e-mail me and I'll send you some stuff I've been working on, and we can go from there!

We are a local Christian ministry looking to expand our number of instrumentalists. In order to play all gigs reliably we need additional players. We are looking to add another drummer, 2 more guitarists, one acoustic and one electric, another keyboard player and I would like a second bass player. We can also make use of a violinist. We (KAPTIV) are still on the search for a singer! We have had several people approach us, talk to us, and even try out for us, but we have still not found the right person for us. We don't want to appoint a singer until we know we have EXACTLY the right person for the job!

...That being said, we are still searching high and low for a new singer! We are looking for a person with a STRONG voice and would prefer a higher range singer, but that is by no means required. The ability to scream/sing is a DEFINITE plus but again not required, as we can already scream if need be so singing is the more important element. Charisma and the ability to command the stage/crowd is a must, as we all bring it 110% at every show we play. We are looking for somebody that already has singing equipment (PA, Mic, etc.) with transportation, and reliability is a must. We practice 1-2 nights a week so making practice sessions is a must. No egos, no attitudes. We want someone that not only meets the requirements "on paper" but somebody we can get along with outside the band, we are all brothers in this band and we want someone that we can connect with on that same level. WE ARE OPEN TO EITHER MALE OR FEMALE SINGERS!

It's pretty simple, I'm a 24 year old drummer looking to put together a solid rock band. I've got about 10 years of experience gigging and recording I'm a really easy-going guy, but i take my music very serious. My biggest influence is Dave Grohl, so as you can probably figure, I don't want to form some lame metal band that people can't tolerate. I want to make music that has a rock drive to it, but also has melody and harmony, and most importantly, is fun for us to play and create. Space must be immaculate, as it will be used for showcasing artists to record labels. I am not looking for you closet, or basement here, I am looking for an established venue with amazing sound.
