I'm looking for a speed event horse for my grand daughter who is eleven. She is an intermediate rider who currently shows in western and english, and is beginning to run barrels and poles, etc. She does'nt want to race her pleasure horse so I'd like to find her a good minded horse for a modest price that will gear down for her, yet run hard with a little pushing. So she can learn and yet still progress with the horse.
A horse in it's teens would be OK, but nothing ancient or high maintenance, as I already have old timers. I prefer AQHA and APHA, but have no problem considering a good stock type grade horse. A good handle and whoa are a must, and any good trail, or other skills are a definite plus as I'd like to have another good saddle horse too. I'll provide a great home with years of experience that doesn't skimp on food, or proper routine care and shelter. Please no horses with problems or attitude issues.

The status as of now: I finally got a hold of the animal control center for my county and they said that they are going out in the morning to find the horse. Thank you everyone for your help! It means a lot seeing there are so many caring people.

Hello! I found a horse just south of Hartsel off CR53 a few miles (there are a couple of other horses in the area) that is hurt pretty bad on his head and looks like he may have ran into a porcupine at some time. He looks to be just a couple years old. He is very weak and don't look like he will make it much longer. Although I don't know who to call to help him. I called the sheriffs office but they said they were going to relay the message to the animal control office and have them call me this morning but no word. I have tried calling them but no answer. They don't seem to have a interest, they seem to be more worried about the sled dogs. I am don't know who's horses they maybe, I was only looking at a piece of property and happen to find him. If he don't get some help soon he will die. If anyone can please help me you can email me.

This Abetta saddle is the perfect thing for people that cant lift a lot of weight. Its very light and washable. If you get mud on it or something you can wash it off and it wont shrink like leather. Hi I am selling my 2001 reg. black appendix gelding. He has Fols in him and his sire is Fols Rocket. He is a great horse. He neck reins, leg pressure and plow reins. He is good in an arena, on a trail, in a pasture, in a round pen, anywhere. He rides english and western.He has been introduced to barrel racing too and he is an awesome trail horse. He will walk if you want, trot, canter or race. He has a lot of gears and is pleased to go any of them. He will follow you around if you want to lock him up after riding, so you dont even have to have a halter and lead on him. He will stay around the house if turned loose for a little. He leads, loads, ties, lunges, good for farrier. He gets along with other horses well. Very pretty in the summer when he is slicked out. Pretty in the winter to. This horse is by far the best horse when it comes to listening. The only reason I am selling is because I have too many horses and not enough time. I will be busy with all my other projects I have so I thought he should deserve a home that will work with him a little more. He gets ridden at least 3 times a week if not more depending on the weather. You can have him sit out in pasture for awhile and he will still be the same. Well might be a little fatter but attitude will be good. This horse is only availiable to a certain family or person that I approve of. I love this horse just wont have enough time this summer. This summer I have 2 other horses I have to get in shape for a rodeo, 2 foals I have to train and work with, a 4h steer to work with, goats to mess with, another horse to train if someone doesnt buy it( its another horse that isnt broke yet for sale also), maybe a few kid goats to bottle, and maybe a 4h lamb to work with depending on if I show lambs this year. So that is the only reason I am selling him. He is current on all shots and vacines. In the pics he is shown with a black western saddle and a black english saddle. Quicksilver (top right pic) and Zorro (top left pic) are their names and they spent the summer at a petting zoo and we hate to see them go but current situations are forcing the issue and having several adult males that are breeding stock and we don't need any more boys. It has a roost built on the front of it and has a slanted roof that slopes down to the back. The total dimensions are appx. 44" Wide X 14" Deep X 17" Tall in the front and 14" tall in the back. These dimensions are appx but are close. Each nesting box measures close to 14 inches square.

What kind of fuzzy-math are you using to calculate that your SORREL mare has a 99% chance of throwing a palomino out of palomino (1 dilution factor) stallion???? It doesn't matter if she has had 100 palomino babies out of this stallion, she still has a 50% chance of throwing another. If she was bred to a cremello (2 dilution factors), then she would have a 100% chance of throwing a palomino baby.

You can't just say that because she has had (insert color) in the past she will throw (insert color) again. Genetics don't work that way.

Here is a good site to figure out what the odds of throwing a certain color is.

11 yo AQHA sorrel mare in foal to gorgeous AQHA golden palomino stallion. The foal has a 99% chance of being palomino, as all her other foals by this stud have all been palomino.
They all have gorgeous little shapely QH heads and great confirmation.
The mare is 14.2hh, but throws foals that are tall and leggy, and their tails and manes are creamy white!

She is well broke to ride, safe no-spook, out on the trail. She is also a good cow horse for roping.
She was used for roping and cows until about 5 years ago, then started having babies.
Since the last foal was born a year ago, she has been pretty much just used for trail riding.
